Sept 8 X.X. [Spot?] Harrow got arrested he was drunk, trying to balance beer bottle on chin in the street. Bunch went to Paris, drawed to go, but drew a blank. Played French game, lots of sport Had stew for supper. Ha. Ha. Sunday September 9 Went to park in afternoon They shot two Frenchmen, they deserted, and tryed to get planes to Germans. They told us we could only write one letter a week. Got box from home cake & doughnuts no good, but tobacco was fine. Wrote to mother. Playing victrola makes me feel blue, so will [move?]. Its the end of a perfect day.
