Nov. 12, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad + Mom: Well Ive put in my first day in my new squadron. I expect they are a nice bunch of fellows but I sure miss my old gang. The Engineering department is very inexperienced lookalike lots of grief to me but I guess a fellow can make out wherever he is. We get up before six A.M, and have a roll call on the [illegible] at [illegible], mark [illegible] have and get off at seven at night, too long there is in time for yourself. I think they will change that before long surely hope so. Weather was nice today but I look for a change red this morning and cloudy and [raw?] tonight. Feel kind of [mean?] like I was catching cold. When you get Bobs address let me have it and I will try and write to him. Wonder where he is, hope in a good spot. Seems funny they would send him across so soon. Do you suppose he has made Captain yet, would seem funny to salute him. Think your new dress must be very pretty I think that's a nice shade if blue. Doesn't take near as much material as it used to does
