Nov. 13, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad + Mom: Boy I've walked about ten miles today, should keep the weight down which I've lost playing football. The field is scattered out quite widely and live at one end, work at the other end and eat about the center. Had a dental check up today and my teeth are still in good shape. No cavities at all which is a relief. Every time a fellow moves you have to go thru all that, sure is a lot of junk. The hanger (sub. depot) put in new gas tanks in one of our squadron's planes and they leak like sieves. Don't know how long before they will be fixed but it looks a mess. You must be having same of our Idaho weather back home now, hope it doesn't last. Sounds as tho Bill will surely have to take the cattle out of the pasture. It has been a good season at that. Talked to the first sergeant this morning and I can probably get my furlough about the last of the month. There was a bunch left this morning for fifteen days and I can get mine (I think) when they get back. A furlough
