Nov. 16, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad + Mom: Had a full day yesterday, marked eighteen [illegible] so I missed writing. We are now on a shift bases but I helped out another shift. Had two more gas tanks to change in a ship and that is really a job. Perhaps it will be finished today and will fly tomorrow. Got four letters yesterday, your good one, two from fellows in my old outfit who transferred out, one in [Boise?] and another in Fresno and one from Grandma. She seemed very happy to be back in her home and I quests is feeling fine. Hope she stays well and can keep warm this winter. Your cookies came yesterday, gosh they were good we all enjoyed them. Found them when I got in at about two this morning and had to open them then. Even the. I had a good crowd around. Thanks very much. Did a bunch of washing that's been piling up. Had three sweatshirts and five pairs of wool sox which I washed and I put a [illegible] of underwear handkerchiefs and towels to soak. It is pleasant
