Nov. 19, 1943 Paiatillo, Idaho Dear Dad + Mom: We had a big parade and review here today but as I had no overcoat I didn't have to stand it. At least I got out if something I asked the first sergeant about missing it but he said borrow a coat, so I borrowed the biggest one I could find but that didn't even come close so the Captain excused me. That overcoat will be okay if we have many reviews. Turned I my football suit this morning, they are going to have a banquet on Monday which I will miss but I don't mind that with a furlough in its' stead. [illegible] you'd better have the weather warm up and bet pleasant before I get home. Monday. Sure want [iowa?] to look good but I think it would no matter what. I'm kind of getting used to the new outfit but I think it will be a long time before they are as good as the old outfit. They haven't moved out yet but will sometime soon, the unit has split up and gone every direction. Only a skeleton of it remains. The (H) you spoke of stands for Heavy bombardment squadron if we had medium bombers it would be (M). It always
