Dec. 6, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad & Mom: Back in the army again; seemed as tho I was a civilian again those grand thirteen days at home. And did it seem good already seems like a dream. All that good food and getting to see so many old friends at home really improves a fellows morale. We have moved again, back into the same section where I lived when in the 536 all the remaining guys have shipped out and the field is quite empty looking. A day sooner and I could have bid them goodbye but that day at home was worth a lot more to me. Got paid this evening so I can pay off the Red Cross, send Pop his money and have some for Christmas. Was lucky to make it back just in time. Got 124.85 which is my pay with insurance and bond allotment out. Have some shots to take soon. Yellow fever booster and a re-vaccination. Had a lot of mail when I got here, a box of candy from Mr. Dibble, the box of Christmas cards I had ordered, four letter from you, a V mail from Bob, a letter from Milan, and three from friends who
