Christmas Eve Dear Dad & Mom: Just came from church, the chaplain had a real nice service and the chapel was decorated real pretty. Singing was good but the organist was lousy all I could think of was the ticking of a metronome one, two, three, four, very tuneless but plenty loud, every piece sounded about the same. The Red Cross gave every man on the base two tickets to the post theatre, rather nice I think. We dont have to work from eight oclock tonight until 7A.M Sunday morning which is a real treat Im going to sleep late in the morning. Its snowing here and quite hard looks as tho it is determined to give up a white Christmas, dont care if it snows two feet. The temperature isnt so cold must be about 25 above.
