Dec. 28, 1943 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad & Mom: Just came from the movies on the base, saw a couple of shows which weren't so hot but entertainment. One was "The Crime Doctor" played by Warner Baxter (you know the Doctor Ordinary series you hear over the radio and the other was "The Sultans Daughter" kind of funny. Has been cold here today, think it was below zero this morning and not much warmer all day, the ships flew however which means a lot of work getting them ready. Cleaning off the frost is no small job in itself. Didnt hear a word from Jimmie this Christmas rather expected a card with a note in it or even a letter but guess he was too busy. He's a good egg even if he doesn't ever write.
