Had to change a shimmy dampener on the [illegible] wheel of a ship today. Wasnt a hard job but the cold air on my fingers made them numb. I frost bit my fingers yesterday and now they burn & itch on the tips expect they will scale off a little. So old Pligg is announcing his wedding soon. Dont believe many knew it at that. Can you get any real nice wool blankets now or are they not being made anymore. I'd like to get them a Hudson Bay, does Bean show them in his catalogue anymore. Let me know about it will you please. This cold weather flying is miserable planes dont run well, everything is stiff and cold, frost has to be cleaned off the wings etc. in general taint good. Darned fire went out in the shower room boiler and there isnt much hot water, hope I can ike[?] a bath out of it. Love Johnny
