I just got back from being grounded up at Midland on account of bad weather and high winds. Winds here this after noon on the level are around 50 mph and every thing is full of good old Texas sand. My bed here has about and inch of red sand all over it so it aught to very comfortable to sleep in tonight. Was sure surprised to hear about Milo Sorden going to radio school; sure be glad when we can all get together again and have him back directing the Municipal Band. Have lost contact from most of the fellows since I cam in the army but your letter sure helps through light on the where abouts of a few. The draft sure is getting down to just about every one who can shoulder a gun, I sure would think they'd ease up before long. As you know we are in B-17's and we aught to get our own ship before very long now, so from that
