Monday, April 24 [1944] Dear Dave, I've thoroughly enjoyed every line of your four "community letters, from the weather reports clear through the near-riot at the Gold Medal tournament. That last account caused me to wonder if life on the home front isn't actually more dangerous than being in the army. Dave, your letters are dandies. Chock-full of just the kind of news we like to read. It was a bit of a surprise when I read that you didn't know for sure what kind of work I'm doing. Of course censorship regulations were still fairly stiff even when I came here but I did think I had cleared up all those doubts long ago. At any rate, you're right. We have a "Reproduction Section" here- a combination off-set printing shop & photography lab. Darned interesting work, too, in spite of a few little things that
