Mr. Dave Elder ℅ Evening Journal Washington, Iowa Lt. Lloyd R. Scott 0-757269 23rd FTR SQ 35th FTR GF AP O/4 PSTMSTR NY,NY May 6, 1944 Somewhere in England, Dear Dave: I received your Scuttlebutt today. Thanks a lot. I get a kick out of it. It gives me a little news about the other boys and a little about the old home town. I'd appreciate it if you'd keep it coming. England's a pretty nice place. Especially this time of year. Everything seems to be kept so neat and clean. I got into London the other day for a quick look around. It's quite a place. I sure do miss the American beer this English beer is a poor substitute. Its sort of like our warm state beer. Burrr! So far I haven't met anyone here that I know I have Bob Crane and Dan Voorhees addresses. I'm going to look them up if possible. Well I'm running out of space so I guess I had better put off. As ever Lloyd Scott
