May 29, 1944 Dear Dave: As representative of the Y's Men Club, I'll address this to you. Just received your Scuttlebutt Sheet of the 18th of May - and you've got something there. I enjoyed it no end. That is the first one I've received, and I hope they keep coming. Ever since I received the Xmas card signed by all the Y's Men- I've been intending to write. What- you say "yeah-intending to- I know." I'm one up on you - I did write, just about a week ago - but if you know theses situations - I now have it again, so as its only a V-mail _ I'll just do a little substituting. By the looks and sound of things - not many of the fellows are left in Washington. I know this supposed to be a small world but as yet I have never run across anyone I knew. However I'm only in one spot but by the time you get this - I rather think I'll be heading somewhere else. That's what I like about the Navy, a guy can get around. Do you know anything about the Medical Corps. Confidentially, I don't either - but when you get in that - by devious means which I have never understood - you are a little bit of everything. Half Sea bee too - I'm finding out. Heh heh - but it's great. Right at the moment I seem to have plenty of time for exercising, etc. Have been playing a Donald R. Boyer
