Troop A, 125 Cav. Sq. (Mecz) A.P.O. 230 c/o Postmaster New York, New York Aug 19, 1944 Hello Dave, Some of the boys have given me a knew nickname. It is shrapnel bouncer. the reason is that I got hit in the upper left arm by a piece and it bounced off. It didn't do much damage to my arm but it made me mad as hell. Even back in the ring days when I took a hard one I gave the complaments back. This time was no exception I realy gave them hell. My temper hasn't gone down yeat and I don't think it will untill this dam war is over. I get the Perpel Hart but I know there will be two Germans that won't live to get a thing. We are having our band play for us and the Red Cross is giving
