Clarence W. Miller S.C.I/C New Hebrides August 20, 1944 Dear friend Dave I was very much surprised to get your two letters of "Scuttlebut" dated August 4-11. I think you have some thing, I am sure all the boys will enjoy it, I know I sure am: I also receive the Saturdays Journal and I am lost when one don't come: I hope this finds you and your wife in best of health give her my regards. Maybe she remembers me - I use to see her alot when I was working at Wingos: I hear you have Louise Fields back to work again: Shes one swell girl, of course I think alot of the whole Porter family as that was my home before I got married: I imagine you are glad to have her back again: I sure was sorry to hear Edith is ill. hope she is better by the time you get this: I suppose little Butch has grown a lot. I use to have a lot of fun with him when Edith use to leave him up at the Porters: I suppose your all very busy now
