Sunday [Aug. 27, 1944] Dear Dave Im receiving your scuttlebutt regularly & sure enjoy getting it. Ive changed stations so Im sending you my new address. I like this part of the country much better than I did western Nebraska. Now I'll be able to fly up & look the home town over as often as I like. Im not sure of the size of the home town Airport but I think I can set my C 47 down there with out taking out too many fences. I may try it some Sunday if I get the C.O. permission. I have a furlough coming real shortly so Ill be seeing a few of you home town folks soon Bye for now. Sincerely, Lt. Hadley R. Edmondson 805 th aafbu. Sec "C" Box 66 George Field Lawrenceville, Ill.
