Aug 30 -44 Texarkana, Arkansas. Dear friend, I just received another one of your letters this morn, so I decided it was about time for me to send you one. I am not much of a letter writer but will try to let you know where I am and what I am here for. As you know I spent a year and a half up I the North where it is cold as -----. Well I was sent from there to Love field at Dallas and was only there about a week, when they sent another Kid and I up here to service coolant on pursuit Jobs with liquid cooled engines and there aren't too many of them stop here so it isn't too bad. We have no officer in charge and as the other Kid is only a cpl that leaves me in full charge of the Detail. We are living in a Hotel and work at the municipal air port. Sure is tough to come down out if the sticks, and love to live in town isent it. Ha. Well so much for that as to this paper of yours'. I think it is O.K. as we get to hear from fellows we know from all parts of the world, where other wise we wouldent even know where most of them are located. Well I love to get another Scuttlebutt soon. As ever yours, Sgt Lloyd D Donaldson.
