New Guinea Aug 31st [1944] Hi Dave, Just received drip no. 20 of Scuttlebutt. And the reason for me prompt reply is that I'm in the hospital and alot of time burn. They thought I had Malaria and the Dingy fever and then they did know for sure. Guess I just needed a rest. I hope to get out of here soon one way or another. I've been wanting the nurse to jitterbug with me. Maybe that will do it. My medical officer use to live in Iowa City before coming to the army and he married an Iowa City girl. I've seen Darwin Vacha since I heard from you last I told him about Scuttlebutt.
