France Sept. 17 1944 Dear Sir, I just received the Scuttlebutt with the fish story. I am eating my heart out! There is nothing I like a better than a good fishing trip. I got to see part of Paris. I went to the historical building and saw paintings, tumbs, monuments and other numerous things of interest. Paris is the only place I ever ate K rations and drank champagne in a Cafe. Infact that was the first champagne I ever drank. Yours truly, Raymond Haifley [Pfc. Raymond R. Haifley]
