10-17-44 Dear Dave: Received my 3rd issue of Scuttlebutt today. It is a real "poop" sheet and I always look forward to the next one. Have a new address as you will notice on the envelope. Have been in Fort Worth two months now and am ready to move on. It is like most of these Texas towns and that isn't good. Had a letter from "Skeeter" Wolf. He was in Belgium at the time and stated that Paris was all it is cracked up to be. The world is small they say and it has been true most every place I've been. Am having dinner with Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Halpenny tomorrow night. She is the former Ruth Smith. Haven't seen her for ages so we will have plenty to talk
