Mojave, California November 5, 1944 Dear Mr. Elder I want to thank you for putting me on the "Scuttlebutt" list and to correct a slight error in my address (see above). Every week, I look forward to getting the latest dope on Washingtonians all over the world. So, "Keep 'em dripping." Everybody's been writing me about that beautiful Iowa October weather. There isn't a yellow leaf in California - no leaves here in Mojave. I'm interested in this egg-plant incident. Heres hoping you follow up as outlined and give us the word on the results. I'd like to see Milo's reaction when his pullets start laying hard-boiled eggs.
