February 4, 1944 Pocatello, Idaho Dear Dad & Mom: Got your letter today telling me that Harley Sensar is going to work in the yard. Im sure happy to hear this, he's a good egg and should know the business and the customers. Should be fine to have a carpenter to build broader houses etc. Snowed here today and tonight it is quiet cold, went to town and got a steak again tonight. There is sure a good place to eat here and I'm making the most of it. Got your valentine that was a broad statement and thanks. Doesn't seem possible it is nearly Valentines day, time goes pretty fast when you look back but when you look ahead it seems as tho it will never pass. Had a letter from Uncle Raymie today too, I owe him a letter I guess but hadn't found time to answer it. They are getting along okay on the acres, says they are having regular California weather but do need moisture rain, snow or something. I'm sure you did better in the yard when
