V-MAIL PASSED BY US ARMY EXAMINER (CENSORS STAMP) From M/Sgt John W Graham 776 Bomb Sqdn, 464 Bomb Grp H A.P.O. 5207 c/o PM, New York, NY To Mr & Mrs W J Graham West Union, Iowa Dear Dad & Mom: Don't know how well you will be able to read this as I'm writing outdoors and it's almost dark. Had to stop and will try a bit more this morning. Im really enjoying it here, this land has been find so far, the best at any camp I've been at. I admire the way this country has farmed every available inch of land is marked and well, not a weed in sight anyplace. The fruit trees are in bloom and I believe the almond tree that deep pink. I'm sorry I couldn't write for so long but I assure you there was nothing to tell anyhow. I am still thrilled over my trip. This country side is really beautiful and some of these old buildings and structures are interesting. I wasn't seasick but thought I would be for a few days as the water was quite rough. Saw a lot of porpoise and some sea turtles and those man of war jelly fish things. Got a slug of letters which Ive certainly enjoyed, so Red is in Ireland, glad you had such a nice visit with K. & A. Love Jonny V-MAIL
