Still haven't been into town but I guess it is quite a disappointing place so Ive lost nothing. The towns Ive seen remind me a little of those border towns we visited in nineteen thirty nine. Have picked up a few words in Italian and most of the natives know a little English. The houses here are funny all built of stone and high and narrow. very few [foundations?] and nearly all tile roofs. Usually they are plastered or stuccoed, white or pink or tan, certainly are some good stone masons here. I had a letter from Uncle Raymond yesterday guess they are all fine. Nothing more to write- Love Johnny
