To: Editor Scuttlebutt Washington, Iowa USA From: Pfc Don Crossett 37676674 Serv. Btry 392 FA Bri CAPO411,c/o P.M., N.Y, N.Y. Feb. 4th 1945 Somewhere in France Dear Mr. Elder, Received this evening my first edition of the Scuttlebutt from my Aunt & Uncle. Very glad to get it. It was the first news from Washington in ages. I wasn't over here but acouple days when Lt Charly Snyder looked me up, and we went on up the road to see a Mitchell boy from Washington. He wasn't in. The other nite I went to see Charly but he had left for the [redacted]. It rains 6 out of the 7 days here and so we are living in mud & freezing weather. Well I must close in hoping to receive another Scuttlebutt. Just another G.I. Pfc Don Crossett 37676674
