Mr. Dave Elder c/o Evening Journal Washington Iowa Pvt. Donald Minick 343d Sta. Com. Sq APO #959 c/o PM San Francisco, Calif Sunday – Feb. 12th [1945] Dear Dave: Aloha from beautiful Oahu – in the Hawaiian Islands. Still knocking around down here & taking life as easy as possible as one can overseas. Rec'd 45th drip — postmarked Feb. 2d today the 12th – not too bad hey? Expect address to change in near future so will advise you of same as soon as possible. Have visited Honolulu, Waikiki Beach, Hickam Fld, Pearl Harbor and other points of interest on Island. Don't mind telling you "Scuttlebutt" is plenty welcome down here — more so than in the States even. Haven't met anyone from Wash as yet but I understand there are quite a few boys down here. But its so big that its almost impossible to locate any one unless you have their complete address — and I have none. Give my regards to all the staff & thanks a million for the drips — they sure help. As Ever Don
