(Feb14, 1945) Englang Dear Friends Received my first copy of Scuttlebutt yesterday (44th drip) Was very happy to recieve it for it is nice to know where the fellows are at and what they are doing. I am still in England where I am a Cook at the station hospital. We have the best record here for enemy planes destroyed by one group. I meet Lt Fry quite often as he is stationed here on the same base that I am We have had some very good talks of Washington and the surrounding towns. Lt Fry is from Kalona but as you may remember he was instructing at the airport for awhile. I have had some interesting trip since I have been here. Trips to London as well as a furlough to Scotland which was very interesting Cheers Russell
