19 Feb-1945 Dear Dave- More power to the scuttlebutt - Have had three issues & find them quite interesting. Have also had one visitor as a result of the portion of the letter I wrote to you - which you published in one issue of the scuttlebutt. Gene Thomas stopped in Navy Hdq. in London - Well - as a result we had a very pleasant afternoon & evening. Then stayed all night & had breakfast before he returned to his squadron. I found that he is only 50 miles from here. I hope that in the future he or anyone else from Washington will stop in & phone me - I am stationed in London. (Just recently allowed to say that) and can be called by the telephone quite easily. I have received 41st - 45th & 46th drip. In the 45th I was quite surprised to see a short note of my brother - Kenneth. He has really had the breaks since he's been in the flying game. Some of the other fellows have had some good jobs in the past year or so too - I can't kick as I do have a very good job only we dont get much flying time here - If my memory is correct we got in only about 300 hrs last year.
