Our basic is consisted of 14 days of processing, tests given to us, both mental & physical. Also 21 days of field training, consisting of PT, close order drill, gas mask drill, 6 days of living out on the desert. There is more that I didn't mention, but it all amounts to 35 days, if you pass the test given at the end of 35 days you are ok, if not you have 35 days more. A good friend of mine from Cedar Rapids & myself went into Amarillo this morning and enjoyed a restaurant meal. The city is a nice clean place it it can't even compare to Washington.
