Tuesday March 1 [1945] Dear Dave Elder, Have been receiving "Scuttlebutt" regularly and you don't realize how much I appreciate it. Certainly good to read the various letters and to know where so many different ones are. Also the news from the home front. I am on an island in the Marianas and so far like it fine. Of course it hasn't started to rain yet. Our duty here is good - quite similar to any hospital. For recreation we are allowed to go swimming, and to large group organized parties. It was a pleasant surprise to find Dr Keith [illegible] here and I see him occasionally. Know that there are several others here from Washington, but so far haven't
