European Front. My brother Omer left for England about the time I left for New Guinea. Frankly who ever owns that Island can keep it along with most of the others around. I've been in the Phillipines since the middle of December '43 and do mean the middle of everything. But it was sorta treat to see some clean and very Religious people here along with houses - two stories etc. Of course most of it is a little war torn, but good to look at, after living in the Jungles. I mean the real Jungles to. I'm sure glad I wasn't the one who dug the Japs out of that place, rough life if you survive the Malaria and
