Jungle rot and numerous others [illegible]. At first when I came out here I was far behind the lines - But not behind them in the past few months. It seems that I'm right in between getting shot on both sides and under the water - "So to speak" So far our ship has been very lucky. Most of the Army troops we carry. Think a lot of the Navy when we are under fire. They usually wish for a foxhole, but you can't dig in on a steel deck. Takes a bomb to do that. And we have seen plenty of that along with a torpedo or so. Plenty things I know I want to forget and not be reminded
