March 5, 1945 What-a-place in Florida Hello Dave: After being back for a couple months, and receiving my Scuttlebutt regularly. The 49th Drips today, I'll see if I can get around to scratching off a few lines & consider it an answer. I do want to repeat the fact that the Scuttlebutt is a very much appreciated bit of mail. I really look forward to it. It certainly is growing isn't it. I can see how you appreciate help from the Mothers & Friends. In fact it would almost be impossible without it. First, Dave, before I forget I have a slight change of address. Not that I've changed my location a bit. But the army has to keep changing things every now & then. It is now - Pfc. Max D.
