Time: 2/30 Place: In Pacific U.S.S. Chicopee March 11, 1945 Dear Friend Dave: How are you and all the gang at the journal office? Do you still go to coffee club? Drink a cup for me next time and tell them all hello. Do you get as many suckers as you use too? I'm afraid if John served coffee like we drunk your club would blow up. One think it keeps the boys awake on watch. What is this I hear about the Scuttle Butt? I really do hear a lot of it, but I would like to read some. Would like very much if you would send it to me. Am inclosing a dollar bill as a down payment so please send me a bill for the balance and I will send you the remainder in full. Hope to hear from you soon. As ever J. Donald Hazen S.S.M.B. 2/c U.S.S. Chicopee c/o Fleet Post Office San Francisco, Calif.
