[V-mail letterhead, with To and From addresses] 15-Mar. 1945 "Hedge Row Lane"-Off 88 Sq. FRANCE Dear Dave:-- Thanks to you and Joe for the Coffee Club set up for the boys. Will try and see that you and he get the blue chips for the [illegible]. Really got a big thrill out of the card with the members autographs. Did me a lot of good to get the card. One sometimes wonders if the folks back home remember after being two years or so. A reminder like the card is very [convincing?] and appreciated. Your Scuttlebutt comes quite regularly and the home news is very nice to read. You certainly have been doing a wonderful job with it Dave and also those who help set it up, fold mail it and pay the postage each week. I want to add my thanks to everyone who helps on it. Hope everything in the home town is running smoothly and you and [Mabe?] are feeling ok. Give my regards to the Journal force I know and best wishes to the poker club. Wish I could sit in for a few rounds, this being Thursday nite, would be a lot more pleasant even if I would pay for the eats as Joe says. Best Wishes "Johnny"
