in the Army I am told. I think its about time the old man was starting home. But guess I will have to wait my orders. The Mrs sends me the Journals every month. I get lots of Scuttlebutt from them Well the Philippine people are all most liberated by this time. They sure are a happy bunch I believe those on Samor are best liked and the friendliest Natives of all the Islands They are mostly Farmers. and small villagers Rice sweet potatoes & corn cocoanuts ar the main crops. Althow there are Bananas & Pineapple in abundance. The soil is good and the mud! is deeper than any I have ever saw around Wash there. It has been raining for a week now The Natibes say the dry season will set in next month. I have heard that since January. Well the bigest Scuttlebutt around hear is Will we get another job of get "Stateside" witch means we come home. Well Ill be looking for the next Scuttlebutt so long for this time
