I went walking last evening with Peggy Cobb, tell Gretchen (Gretchen Harshbarger), and I told her I was supposed to report on her.  She said Mary was given to going off into raptures over people, so she wouldn't blame Gretchen if she were sick of her.  She is lots of fun.  Remind me to tell you of her African experiences sometime later.  I don't think she's publishing them now.  We are going for a hike & picnic tomorrow.
In an hour or so I'm going downtown to meet Josephine, who had a dental date, & Marie Devlin, who is still at the Burlington.  Then I'm to meet Don at the Burlington & go out for a sort of "get together" of Iowans.  For the life of me I can't figure out whether we are going to eat or not.  I'm invited for 7 o'clock, so I'm going to play safe & have a bite with the girls first.
