[Note to reviewer: I think this is really page 3, and the page that is labeled page 3 is actually page 4---please check.] sort of "recital piece" embodying all the points they have learned in the course. We new Basic people were asked to come as Junior hostesses if we wanted to. We all did, so we rehearsed Thursday night 8-11, learning the square dances & order of program & points of the games, & circulation of people for refreshments, etc. Then we put on dark skirts & white blouses & low-heeled shoes last night & went over. We were given orange aprons & bows for our hair & masks, as it was a Halloween party. Then about 8:45, just as we were beginning to worry about them, up drove a half a dozen big army trucks & the air force ground school guests were there. As they came through the door they were spun around & masked & pushed on in according to a planned direction. When we spotted one with a mask to match, we pretended we chose him because he was irresistable, not because of any scheme. They loved it. I got first a Montana fellow named Duke, who runs a dude ranch in new Jersey, thinks he is a lady killer and was quite enthralled by my
