If it weren't for our bargain I fear I'd be showing you with packages, as this is really a luxurious city. The shops remind me more of Paris than anywhere else.
I've been buying stockings (mesh) cream in tin containers, tiny compressed separate Kotexes, soap in little sacks, extra batteries, dickies for my uniform, etc, mostly.
There is an air raid on now--real or imaginary & it sounds interesting. Its only 2:30 in the afternoon & this is the first daylight one here. I told you about the night one. The cars have parked & stopped & people have cleared the street & gone into shelters. It is very quiet, which is something for this location. I'll bet that "F" street is something to see as Thursday nights the stores are open & so Thursday afternoon & night the crowds are like our Sat. night ones.
I think I'd have time to read C/O Postmaster & Paris Underground & a couple of new detective books if you want to send them. However, suit yourself, as I can hunt up a rental library.
The "blue" signal is sounding & folks are scampering out.
