Saturday night - Dec. 11 [1943] P.S. All regular Red Cross staff have same uniform. Volunteer women have a variety of uniforms. Mrs. Olsen probably saw a Motor Corps uniform or an army nurse. Dear Mother, I got your letter No. 9 today and will be watching for the package. Don't bother to send those other books, as it will probably be too late by the time they get here now. Mary Bess got notice to report Tuesday for clearance, so it looks as though my delay might mean I'm getting what I want. I trust you got my letter with the "restricted items" so you know what I mean. Thanks for the name tapes. I still have a few left, but we didn't miss by much. I saw the proofs of my picture yesterday and the prints will be ready the 21st. I'll send them then, or arrange to have the studio send them if things speed up. There will be three--two plain & one tinted. You may dispose of the two plain as you want to. It isn't bad, although a little stern. Tell Betty I did get her letter, & enjoyed it very much. Tell her the only thing I can suggest now is a pair of sheepskin chaps for winter riding. I also had a nice note from June lately which I'll answer very soon.
