Westlawn, Box 404 Iowa City, Iowa Dec. 14, 1944 Dear Scuttlebutt, Although I'm only a few miles away, I thoroughly enjoy "the Scuttlebutt." It certainly keeps me up on the news. It was my duty to keep account of the kids in our class of "42" but I gave up long ago. Dave, I suggest you take over and you might as well start raising chickens for that picnic at our reunion. Well, I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year but I'm sure next years (I hope) will be better. Dave, would you put Martha Hines & Donald Hines on your list. Addresses can be secured from their folks. Keep those Scuttlebutts coming even if I do get home every now and then. Sincerely Ruth Brower
