April 3, 1945 Dear Dave, Congratulations on the first anniversary of the Scuttlebutt!! I have certainly enjoyed receiving it for the last six months. It is marvelous to hear about the old gang once a week. Please notice the change in my address. I am now going to Celestial Link Navigation Trainer School for 10 weeks. It is certainly a change from South Texas to the spring flowering of New England. The country around here is beautiful at this time of the year or maybe I am just impressed after the sand dunes of Texas. In fact, the country around here might very easily be mistaken for Iowa.
