April 15, 1945 Dear Sir, I hope you aren't surprised to greatly at hearing from me. I've been in the service nearly three years and this is the first letter to you. When I was in Pearl Harbor the last time I saw Wayne Palmer he wanted to know if I was receiving the Scuttlebutt. I hadn't ever seen a copy of it. He was the one who sent my address in. I really enjoy it greatly I look forward to every copy. The last I had received was 51st drip. There was several fellows in P.H. that I knew from home. I had a very good visit with Dick Ross & Wayne together. I saw Les Woods accidentally one day. I was to spend Sunday with
