Tuesday May 1 [1945] Dear Dave - This is the Army that you read about. Haven't done a thing in the last two days - and that doesn't make me a bit mad. Really have a nice set-up out here, but after a furlough you don't like anything the Army can offer. You know, I don't think Washington has changed much - wait untill the boys come home and it will still be the best! Well my room-mate and I are going to the show - I'll write more later - when I find what kind of deal we have her. Your friend - Ira [Pfc Ira Morrison]
