water. I seldom get topside under present watch system and have lost all tan, even tho the weather is usually nice. But have had a chance to do a little reading for once. The water usually goes off just after youve soaped down in the shower, but that less itchy than having no shower and fleas (which we've had on occasion). The main diversion is betting on this & that, and whether the next rumor of surrender in Europe will be valid. Mail sometimes 1 1/2 mo old - and frequently Scuttlebut passes it all up & arrives a week ahead of letters with a similar date from home. This seems to be one game you can't "get out" of when you've grown tired of your hand. Thank the home folks tho - they are the 5th ace, & aces are wild. Sincerely [E.O.M. Jr.]
