Saturday afternoon May 5, 1945 Austria Dear Dave: Every letter anymore sees me in a different country it seems. Since getting in Patton's Army I've travelled more than ever it seems. We marched, rode tanks, and about everything else clear across Germany and here we are in Austria. We are taking a rest now and if the good news keeps up maybe we won't have to fight over here anymore. We're all glad. Germany is cracking up and we hope Japan will soon follow. Austria I believe is the most beautiful country I've seen over here. From where we are
