North Africa
Dear Dave,

              I have been getting the "Scuttlebutt" for some time now, and I don't want to miss a one so will drop you a short note to let you know of my new address.
             Everything here at this base remains about the same as before the war ended. There is still a lot of work to be done before we can all get back to the U.S., and then out to the Pacific to get that war over with.
            I had a swell trip to Rome the first part of April, but time & space keeps me from trying to tell you about all of the outstanding things of that "Old City".
           Hope to see you all soon, but think it will be at least four or five months.
