June 5th [1945] Dear Dave, Well I have been in the Philippines for about 3 month's now and it sure beats New Guinea. Although you have been sending the ScuttleButt to my old A.P.O. I still get it in 8 to 10 days from the mailing date. I can't tell you where I am but I can say I am in the largest city in the Philippines, that help you any? These people have really taken a beating the last 3 years. You would have to see some of these things to believe them though. As yet I have met no one from home.
