U.S. Coast Guard 6-19-1945 Dear Dave, Well, I finally am getting around to writing this letter. I have been putting it off and putting it off for too damn long I know but here it is. Say Dave, I really appreciate the Scuttlebutts. They are about the only way that I can keep track of most of the fellows, so I really enjoy it. As usual we are being kept busy out here and are still engaged in Air Sea Rescue work & hardly a day goes by, but what there isn't at least one or two crashes. We take care of both local stuff and emergencies up to 1000 miles off-shore. We have really been having some hot weather here recently. The longest heat wave in 6 years &
