[June 27, 1945] China. Dear David: Hoping this finds you O.K. as it does here. I expect by now the spring gardens is beginning to pop up. Boy a good onion and radish sandwich would taste good now. We are getting fresh vegetable here they raise a lot of them here, but it dont taste like the good home growing. We also got fresh beef not much can things here.
